This comprehensive 3-day course is specifically designed for the law enforcement officer assigned to the educational setting and/or school and college administrator responsible for school safety operations. This course will provide advanced topics and theories beyond the Basic Level Course to assist the experienced officer/administrator perform their ever evolving duties. Course instruction will focus on causation and solutions to school violence, recent trends in school violence, crime prevention through environmental design, dealing with the media and advance critical incident planning. A portion of this course will include a comprehensive tabletop exercise addressing emergency response to a school based critical incident.
