SSAC is soliciting session proposals for the 2016 National Conference on Bullying & Child Victimization, to be held February 22-24, in Orlando, FL. This is an opportunity to share effective models, policies, research and information and provide your colleagues with insights and best practices addressing many of the issues of bullying and child victimization facing our communities today. Please consider contributing a session, the entry deadline is January 7, 2016.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Dr. Sameer Hinduja
Dr. Sameer Hinduja is a Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University and Co-Director of the Cyberbullying Research Center. He is recognized internationally for his groundbreaking work on the subjects of cyberbullying and safe social networking, concerns that have paralleled the exponential growth in online communication by young people. He has written six books, and his interdisciplinary research is widely published and cited in a number of peer-reviewed academic journals. As a noted bullying speaker, Dr. Hinduja also provides training to schools, youth organizations, parents, and teens on on the best practices of identification, prevention, and response. In addition, he is frequently asked to provide expert commentary by news organizations, and he has been featured in venues that include CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 and NPR's All Things Considered.
 
Dr. Marialice B.F.X. Curran 
Dr. Curran is recognized as a national expert in digital citizenship. Her teaching and scholarship focus on digital citizenship and social media in K-12 teacher education, and its relationship to cyber-bullying both in and out of school.  Dr. Curran has spoken both nationally and internationally on the topic of digital citizenship and its relationship to both bullying & child victimization.
 
Marc Mero
Former WWE and WCW Wrestling Champion, Marc Mero, has as an extraordinary ability to connect with young people and adults of all ages. Not because of his former wrestling career , but because of his personal story of overcoming insurmountable obstacles throughout his life to achieve success.  March will leave you wanting to hear more of his efforts to connect with kids on a host of topics.  Be very ready to laugh and cry, but more importantly LEARN!
